Jon joined the firm in 1991 and became a shareholder in 1993. He has over 24 years experience in public accounting and private industry. He is responsible for all tax planning and compliance services. Additionally, he serves a variety of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations by providing accounting, auditing and tax consultation and planning. He graduated from Elon College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Jon is a member of the Tax Division of the AICPA and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Active in the community, he has served in his church by teaching children and adults and serving on numerous committees and is currently in his eighth year as a leader in a local Boy Scout troop.

She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a registered investment adviser representative, a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and holds a certificate of educational achievement in personal financial planning form the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She belongs to the Personal Financial Planning Division of the AICPA and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Marjorie, formerly a partner in NEWBY & STRECK, L.L.P., joined our firm in January 2010 with more than 25 years experience in public accounting. She holds certificates of educational achievement in tax planning for closely-held businesses, business valuation, and divorce litigation support services from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Marjorie is a member of the Tax Division of the AICPA and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. The North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants recognized Marjorie as an “outstanding discussion leader” of continuing education seminars. She is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisior. Marjorie is an avid student of karate having earning a Nidan (second degree) black belt. She has served her church in various capacities at the congregational, state, and national level. Her passions include teaching Adult Sunday School and spending time with her family.
